CPM Resources Training Programs

Listed below is the current curriculum of CPM Resources Training programs for Leadership and Team Development.

Managing the Transitions of Change
This program utilizes the dialectical method of managing and dealing with tensions, conflict and change.

Conflict Management
This program defines two types of conflict and offers methods participants can use to mine for conflict within their teams. Obstacles to conflict resolution are identified and then participants learn how to reduce those obstacles and promote successful conflict resolution within the organization.

Critical Thinking
This program defines critical thinking and it's usage within leadership practices. The usage of critical thinking skills are discussed along with obstacles to critical thinking. Additionally, participants learn about irrational thinking, fallacies and pitfalls that prevent people from performing effectively. The program concludes with methods to promote innovative thinking.

Dealing with Difficult People and Situations
This program teaches participants to identify patterns of behavior employed by difficult people and then gives practical advice for dealing with them. Participants then learn practical skills useful in difficult situations and take part in exercises to reframe these situations and identify personal patterns utilized in past so these patterns can be improved.

DISC Work Styles and Emotional Intelligence
This program uses the DISC styles assessment to help managers understand more about their personal work styles and the styles of others. Participants also learn key concepts of Emotional Intelligence theory so they can deal with emotions more creatively and productively rather than not dealing with them at all or pretending they don't exist in the workplace.

Meyers Briggs Personality Assessment
Meyers Briggs Type Indicator assessment is based on the work of clinical psychologist Carl G. Jung's personality type theory and the ways in which Meyers and Briggs extended and clarified it when they created the MBTI instrument. MBTI will help you identify your preferences among four dichotomies: Extraversion-Introversion, Sensing-Intuiting, Thinking-Feeling and Judging-Perceiving. The insight gained through this assessment increases self-knowledge which assists with dealing with others in more effective ways.
